Tool 1
Coverage Gap Estimator
Compares a risk-adjusted value with the coverage you carry. Assumptions are listed in the result.
Tool 2
Deductible Trade-off Evaluator
Compares out-of-pocket exposure and cash-reserve share for three deductible levels. It does not calculate insurer premiums.
Tool 3
Policy Return Index
A simplified index of stated coverage against the premium you enter. It is not an investment return calculation and does not predict claim outcomes.
Understanding the Numbers
- Assumptions. Each tool uses only the figures you enter and a labeled illustrative risk factor.
- Limitations. Sublimits, coinsurance, depreciation, exclusions and endorsements are not modeled.
- Why insurers price differently. Each insurer uses its own underwriting and rating methods, so similar coverage can cost different amounts.
- Why wording matters. Definitions, conditions and exclusions in the policy decide how a claim is handled.
- Why deductibles affect exposure. The deductible is the amount you carry before coverage responds.
- Policy documents come first. A calculator cannot replace your declarations page or advice from a licensed professional.
